The vineyard extends mainly over the slopes of the north bank of the river Cher overlooking the
villages of Thésée and Monthou sur Cher with a southwest to southeast exposure. The steep
slopes allow for good natural drainage, needed to produce high quality wines in a semi-oceanic
climate. The soil is clay-limestone and shallow clay-siliceous with the presence of flints, known
in the region as “Perruches”. The underlying layers are mostly calcareous. The steep slopes
allow the good natural drainage needed to produce high quality wines in a semi-oceanic.
Lifted aromas of elderflower cordial, Victoria plums and hints of grass. The palate is filled with gooseberry fool infused with elderflower and hints of summer fruit.
A good aperitif or with asparagus, seafood and fish
in creamy sauces.
