Domaine de Boischampt, created in 1642, takes full advantage of its heritage, with 15 hectares in production on a pristine terroir of blue stone soils. Under new ownership since 2018, the property is now certified organic. Winemaker Thibaud Baudin also made the bold decision of planting three hectares of vines to Chardonnay rather than Gamay. From east-facing vineyards, the Chardonnay grapes are hand picked. Fermentations here are spontaneous, with no
fining or filtration, whilst sulphites are only used at bottling. Aged for 4 months in wood, the 2023 vintage was bottled in January 2024.
This white Beaujolais Jullié, is crisp and aromatic, with delightful crab apple fruit.
